Local Government Network

The ARSC aims to bring together road safety stakeholders and decision-makers from Australasia and international jurisdictions to facilitate collaboration and information sharing.

From the abstracts provided we were assigned one research project to be the focus of a large format infographic poster.

After reading the text and identifying key facts and information hierarchy, the design challenge was to develop a creative approach to the visual construction of the information.

My end result is a vector patchwork of Australia, strung together by the collaborative hands of LGN members, playfully and appropriately designed like roads. With the pins corresponding to the number of LGN members, the Australia map becomes both the strong graphic and data visualisation.

The design ultimately exudes a sense of play and togetherness, promoting the values of LGN in a bold visual that will garner attention at the conference.
